Badass Women Of The Week: Emma Watson

At the age of eight, Emma Watson began questioning gender-based assumptions when she was called "bossy", a trait she has attributed to her being a "perfectionist, while boys were not labeled as such. Again at 14 she questioned these assumption when she was "sexualized by certain elements of the press".  Read on to find of what this incredible girl does for women's equality.

Emma has promoted education for girls, visiting Bangladesh and Zambia to do so. In July 2014, she was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassadorhelping to launch the UN Women Campaign HeForShe, which calls for men to advocate gender equality. She has since done so much inspiring work in advocating for women's rights. She was also ranked #1 on AskMen "Top 99 Outstanding Women 2015" list on the strength of having "thrown her back" into women's rights issues, and then #26 on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.
